Basic Requirement to Get Service
Any person desirous of conducting any private industrial enterprise by using any type of power which is three horsepower and above or manpower of ten wage-earning workers and above shall register under the private industrial enterprise law.
Private Industrial Enterprise means the conducting of an industrial enterprise either individually or in partnership or by forming a company. This expression does not include industrial enterprise conducted in joint venture with the Government;
Industrial Enterprise means an enterprise which produces finished goods from raw materials, using any form of power in any building. This expression does not include cottage industries

Steps for Application
- Application in prescribed respective form (Form-A) to the respective Union territory/State/Regional/ District Office of DISI . ( 3 copies of form A and 3 copies of passport photos of entrepreneur) or can apply in following link http:// disi.gov.mm/index.php/site/login.html (the system will inform you the inspection date)
- Inspect the site of the enterprise with respective form (Form B) .
- After the site inspection has been done, the Union territory/ State/ Regional Officer-in-charge shall forward the application and form(B) to the Supervisory Body together with his opinion.
- The Supervisory Body shall forward its opinions relating to recommend for grant of registration, refused to recommend for grant of registration to the Director General through the Union territory/ State/ Regional Officer-in-charge.
- The Director General, after necessary scrutiny of the statement submitted by the Supervisory Body, shall grant registration or refuse to grant registration.
- If the size of the private industrial enterprise is large the industrial registration certificate (Form C) is signed by Director General. For small and medium enterprises, the industrial registration certificate (Form C) is signed by the Respective Union territory/ State/ Regional Officer-in-charge with the permission of Director General .
- Notes
- The Union territory/ State/ Regional Officer-in-charge shall inform the entrepreneur, who has been granted for registration, to remit the registration fee. When the supporting proof that the registration fees has been paid is submitted, the registration certificate shall be issued to him.
The Union territory/ State/ Regional Officer-in-charge will describe the last data on which the registration fee shall be remitted If the registration fee is remitted within 30 days after the prescribed date, the registration fee as well as fine(50% of registration fee) shall be paid. If the supporting proof that the registration fee and fine have been paid cannot be submitted after the termination of the permitted period , the registration should be cancelled.
